Design Pattern #27 : Objection Handling

Why we don't buy?

Design Pattern #27 : Objection Handling

Good salespeople spend ridiculous amount of time in figuring how to handle objections. More than how to convince the customer. That is how you hunt the big game.

But how do you handle objections if your customers are buying online without a sales person to talk with?

This is where I have seen a very simple design technique work. I call it the Objection Handling Badges.

These badges not only build trust, but also shows that you are knowledgeable and confident in your ability to handle objections.

But you need to know when to use them...

Types of Objection Handling Badges

To know when to handle an objection in your customer journey, you need to know the types of objections that need to be handled. So far I have been able to identify these 5 types. Check below, along with 7 real world examples.

When a sale does not happen, it is mostly because an objection was not handled. Not because the customer was not convinced. Try to remove friction at every point in the customer journey and see the magic happen.

Always reduce the risk of transaction as much as you can.
